53rd International Symposium on Operational Research held



Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have participated in the 53rd International Symposium on Operational Research (SYM-OP-IS 2026), organised by the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, and held in Kopaonik.
Researchers from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces presented 22 papers, making a significant contribution to the programme and successful delivery of this scientific conference.

The panels titled the “Application of Operational Research in Defence” and “Geographic Information Systems”, moderated by researchers from the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, occupied a prominent place at the symposium. The topics addressed in these sessions are critical to the advancement of scientific research and implementation of modern methodology within the defence system.
