Air Defence Artillery-Missile Units Day and “Čačak” Technical Overhaul Institute Day marked

Ceremonies to mark Air Defence Artillery-Missile Units Day and “Čačak” Technical Overhaul Institute Day have been held in the Serbian Armed Forces.
To mark the anniversary, a formal gathering was held at the Air Force and Air Defence Command in Zemun, while the central ceremony was held at the Banjica Barracks in Belgrade. Units of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade conducted a ceremonial parade, wreaths were laid at memorials located in Zemun and the Banjica Barracks, and awards and commendations were presented to the most distinguished individuals. The ceremonies were attended by the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Major General Brane Krnjajić.

In presenting the overview of results achieved in the past period, a high level of competence, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by soldiers and officers in executing assigned tasks was highlighted, as well as the continued acquisition of modern combat systems, which contributes to strengthening the capabilities of air defence artillery and missile units.
Air Defence Artillery-Missile Units celebrate their anniversary in commemoration of September 30, 1915, when Private Radoje Raka Ljutovac shot down an enemy aircraft using a modified field gun.

The “Čačak” Technical Overhaul Institute marked its anniversary by holding a military ceremony on its premises, attended by the Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković and the Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Saša Petrović.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to review performance results and present awards to outstanding individuals. It was highlighted that, over the past year, the Institute continued to improve its production and overhaul capabilities and contributed significantly to strengthening the operational capabilities of the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole by actively participating in the modernisation of weaponry and military equipment.

The “Čačak” Technical Overhaul Institute marks its anniversary in commemoration of September 30, 1925, when a resolution was adopted to allocate municipal land for the construction of the Engineering-Technical Institute in Čačak.
