Exchange of experience between Serbian and Chinese logistics experts
An expert delegation from the Joint Logistics Support Force of the People's Liberation Army of China is visiting the Serbian Armed Forces this week to familiarise themselves with the organisation of logistics support and to exchange experience in this field.
The Chinese delegation was received by Major General Saša Petrović, Chief of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, who briefed the guests on the organisation and key tasks of the logistics service, as well as prospects for its further development.The programme of the visit includes familiarisation with the logistics support concept within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the education and training of personnel specialising in logistics. Particular focus is placed on the exchange of experience regarding the planning and execution of tasks related to transport, supply, maintenance, general logistics, and healthcare.
During their visit to the country, the Chinese delegation visited the Serbian Armed Forces’ Logistics Training Centre in Kruševac and the Đurđe Dimitrijević Đura Technical Overhaul Institute in Kragujevac. Visits to the 608th Logistics Base Command, the Ministry of Defence’s Military Healthcare Department, and the Military Medical Academy will also be made in the period ahead.The visit represents a continuation of cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Chinese People's Liberation Army in areas of mutual interest, and contributes to enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces and developing the overall military-to-military relations between the two countries.
