Minister Gašić inspects construction site of new Ministry of Defence and General Staff building

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić today inspected the construction site of the new Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces General Staff building, located within the Banjica Barracks in Belgrade.

During the visit, Minister Gašić expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the construction work, stressing that the new building was of vital importance for improving working conditions for both the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff.

- The new building ought to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff and provide the personnel with better working conditions necessary for carrying out duties that are vital to the functioning of the defence system. In addition to improving work organisation, communication, and operational coordination, these modern premises will provide a better quality working environment for individuals who carry a heavy burden of responsibility for the security of our country and its citizens. It is therefore crucial that this project is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with the schedule – the Minister of Defence stated.
