Intensive activities underway as part of second phase of Exercise Victor 2026
Serbian Armed Forces personnel participating in the second phase of the Joint Tactical Live-Fire Exercise Victor 2026 are currently conducting intensive training activities outside their peacetime bases.
For several days now, personnel has been conducting live-fire drills using personal and collective weaponry and practising tactical movement, using observation devices that provide Serbian Armed Forces commands and units with new situational awareness capabilities and ensure efficient execution of missions. Special focus is on establishing military presence in a specific area, monitoring roads and facilities critical to the mission success, as well as on procedures for operating in environments populated by civilians.Simultaneously, the units’ capability to organise daily life and work in field conditions is being assessed, including organising the camp area, establishing a command post and telecommunications, and arranging accommodation and meals for the personnel.
The training activities conducted in the greater Loznica and Mali Zvornik areas were observed today by Brigadier General Siniša Stašević, Head of the Training and Doctrine Directorate (J-7), Serbian Armed Forces General Staff. He was able to confirm that all activities were being conducted according to plan and that members of the Army participating in the exercise were highly motivated and fully trained to carry out assigned missions.The Joint Exercise Victor 2026 runs until October 4. Activities carried out so far have confirmed a high level of proficiency, readiness and professionalism of Serbian Armed Forces personnel, as well as an efficient use of new and modernised weapons systems and equipment.
