Meeting with representatives of China’s Sinotruk International Company
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić met today with representatives of the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (Sinotruk International) and the FAP Corporation, to discuss potential collaboration between the two companies.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the possibilities for establishing cooperation in manufacturing, technical research and development, and market strategy.Minister Gašić emphasised the potential for establishing cooperation with the Chinese partners in vehicle production, especially given the manufacturing capabilities of the FAP Corporation.
- We strive to technologically strengthen the manufacturing capabilities of our defence industry factories. The FAP Corporation has the potential to develop concrete forms of cooperation in vehicle production that would be beneficial for our defence industry, as well as for strengthening the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces – said the Minister of Defence, adding that today’s talks were an important step towards solidifying future cooperation.
The Chinese side highlighted Sinotruk International’s readiness to cooperate with the FAP Corporation in various areas, including technical cooperation, production line upgrades, research and development related to new products within their entire heavy duty vehicle range, and component supply.The meeting was attended by Andrijana Jovanović, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy, Major General Slavko Rakić, Head of the Defence Technologies Department within the Material Resources Sector, Brigadier General Nikola Matović, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Defence, Dejan Golubović, Acting Director General of the FAP Corporation, Priboj, and Miloš Lapčević, representative of Sinotruk International.
