Minister Gašić presents decrees promoting and appointing Serbian Armed Forces officers to new positions



Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić presented official decrees issued by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, promoting and appointing Serbian Armed Forces officers to new positions. The ceremony, held at the Old General Staff’s Great War Hall, was attended by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković has been appointed as Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence. Brigadier General Vladan Milosavljević has been appointed as Commander of the Training Command and promoted to major general.  

Brigadier General Novica Gogić has been appointed as Head of the Operations Directorate (J-3) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Brigadier General Nebojša Nedeljković as Deputy Commander of the Army, and Brigadier General Milan Elenkov as Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence.

Brigadier General Grujica Vuković has been appointed as Chief of Staff at the Army Command, while Colonel Vlada Glišić has been appointed as Chief of Staff at the Air Force and Air Defence Command.
Colonel Branimir Ignjatović has been promoted to brigadier general and appointed as Head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Directorate (J-2) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

Colonel Zoran Jovanović has been appointed Commander of the Second Army Brigade, Colonel Srđan Glavonjić as Commander of the Fourth Army Brigade, and Colonel Boško Šerbedžija as Commander of the 204th Air Brigade.
  
Colonels Vladimir Vukajlović, Dragan Kužet, Miodrag Mladenović and Boris Stojković have been promoted to brigadier generals.
Congratulating the officers, Minister Gašić noted that their promotions and new appointments were not only recognitions of their achievements, but also carried a responsibility to continue strengthening the defence system of Serbia.

- Officers are not only expected to know their job, but to be able to make decisions in the most difficult circumstances, to provide support to the people under their command and to protect the reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces through their own example. Congratulations on your promotions and appointments. I am confident that you will perform equally well in your new roles as you have in your previous ones. Always remember that trust in the armed forces is built each day, through every action you take – the Minister of Defence emphasised.

Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković was born on September 29, 1974, in Užice. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2008, the General Staff Course in 2013, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2017. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
Brigadier General Vladan Milosavljević was born on July 27, 1972, in Raška. His professional military career started in 1995. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1995, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012 and the General Staff Course in 2017. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Head of the Operations Directorate (J-3) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

Brigadier General Novica Gogić was born on April 13, 1975, in Užice. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2010, the General Staff Course in 2015, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2025. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence.

Brigadier General Nebojša Nedeljković was born on April 11, 1977, in Vranje. His professional military career started in 2000. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2000, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012 and the General Staff Course in 2022. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Commander of the Second Army Brigade.
Brigadier General Milan Elenkov was born on December 8, 1972, in Dimitrovgrad. His professional military career started in 1995. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1995, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2010, the General Staff Course in 2018, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2024. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Commander of the 204th Air Brigade of the Air Force and Air Defence.

Brigadier General Grujica Vuković was born on January 2, 1975, in Leskovac. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2014, the General Staff Course in 2020, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2026. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Commander of the Fourth Army Brigade.

Brigadier General Vladimir Vukajlović was born on September 15, 1975, in Subotica. His professional military career started in 1998. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1998, and subsequently completed his master’s degree in 2013, doctoral studies in 2018, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2025. He serves as Commander of the Guard.

Brigadier General Dragan Kužet was born on February 21, 1978, in Benkovac. His professional military career started in 2001. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2001, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2013 and the General Staff Course in 2023. He serves as Deputy Commander of the Training Command.
   Brigadier General Miodrag Mladenović was born on November 24, 1977, in Kriva Palanka. His professional military career started in 2000. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2000, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2014 and the General Staff Course in 2022. He serves as Commander of the Mixed Artillery Brigade.

Brigadier General Boris Stojković was born on July 30, 1974, in Belgrade. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2010 and the General Staff Course in 2023. He serves as Chief of the Military Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia.

Colonel Branimir Ignjatović was born on April 25, 1977, in Pirot. His professional military career started in 2000. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2000, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012 and the General Staff Course in 2022. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Chief of Staff at the 72nd Special Operations Brigade Command.
Colonel Vlada Glišić was born on October 30, 1973, in Valjevo. His professional military career started in 1996. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1996, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012 and the General Staff Course in 2021. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Head of the Operations Department (A-3) at the Air Force and Air Defence Command.

Colonel Zoran Jovanović was born on August 3, 1979, in Šabac. His professional military career started in 2002. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2002, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2015, the General Staff Course in 2021, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2026. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Deputy Commander of the Second Army Brigade.

Colonel Srđan Glavonjić was born on July 17, 1978, in Čačak. His professional military career started in 2001. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2001, and subsequently completed the Baltic Defence College in 2013, the General Staff Course in 2020, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2024. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Chief of Staff at the Training Command Headquarters.
Colonel Boško Šerbedžija was born on October 8, 1975, in Novi Sad. His professional military career started in 1998. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1998, and subsequently completed the Command and Staff Course in 2011, the General Staff Course in 2021, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2024. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Deputy Commander of the 204th Air Brigade.
