72nd Special Operations Brigade units conduct tactical training
Combat teams of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade are conducting summer training away from their peacetime base, operating in hilly and mountainous terrain as well as on the water.
The training aims to enhance the proficiency of officers, NCOs and professional soldiers in executing mission-specific tasks under challenging conditions, utilising modern weaponry and specialized equipment, alongside standard-issue and improvised assets. While carrying out practical activities, unit members are acquiring new knowledge and skills, and refining the existing ones, in overcoming water obstacles using standard-issue and improvised equipment and swimming in combat gear under various tactical scenarios. In the mountainous, they are practising movement over difficult terrain, as well as the negotiation of vertical and horizontal obstacles using climbing gear.
General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, and Major General Matthew Woodruff, Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, who is paying an official visit to Serbia, visited members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade during their training today. They were able to witness firsthand the brigade members' superior level of skills and the confidence with which they execute tasks under complex conditions.Summer training for units of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade is conducted annually in both flat and hilly and mountainous terrain, under scenarios replicating the real-world ones. This training enhances the individual proficiency and the readiness of the units to execute their assigned missions.
