Congratulatory message from President Aleksandar Vučić to mark Military Police Day
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, has sent a message of congratulations on the occasion of Military Police Day, which reads:
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all members of the Military Police, feeling deep respect for your work, expertise, and commitment with which you contribute to maintaining the security, reputation, and strength of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Republic of Serbia.
For more than seven decades, the Military Police has been a firm and reliable support for the Serbian Armed Forces. Through all the challenges and shifts that have accompanied their development, members of the Military Police have remained loyal to their highest values – professionalism, discipline, honour, legality, and a readiness to act responsibly and resolutely whenever and wherever needed the most.
Investments in better training, the procurement of modern equipment and the application of new knowledge and technology represent important prerequisites for an effective execution of tasks and the maintenance of a high level of operational capability. What plays a significant role in this process is the participation of Military Police personnel in exercises and training programmes, where, through collaborative effort you demonstrate your proficiency and readiness to fulfil the most complex tasks.
In this era of rapid changes and increasingly complex security challenges, you face demands for modern knowledge, top training, and the ability to act decisively and wisely in various circumstances. It is, therefore, extremely important that, alongside the development of human resources, we continue to modernise equipment, improve working conditions, and strengthen your capabilities in line with the needs of a modern defence system.
May this holiday serve as an opportunity to look back with pride on the path the Military Police has travelled, to pay tribute to all the people who have dedicated a part of their lives to its development, and to look with confidence towards the future that new generations of your members will build."
