Intensive activities at Exercise Victor 2026
Intensive activities are underway at the Pešter 2026 temporary training area as part of the Joint Tactical Live-Fire Exercise Victor 2026 conducted by Serbian Armed Forces troops.
In line with their assigned tasks and intended use, participating units of the Army and Air Force, alongside SAF special forces, during this phase are conducting live-fire exercises, tactical drills, training flights, bombing and shelling of ground targets, in preparation for a more complex part of the exercise.Newly adopted and modernised combat systems recently fielded to the Serbian Armed Forces are being used to carry out tactical and fire missions. The equipment used includes modernised tanks and other armoured vehicles, combat planes and helicopters, air defence missile systems, armour-piercing missile systems, artillery weapons, numerous unmanned and robotic platforms, as well as a wide range of modern small arms.
Participating units were visited today by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, who saw first-hand that the field activities are being conducted according to schedule and that Serbian Armed Forces personnel is highly motivated and well-trained for an efficient and effective use of the weapons and military equipment entrusted to them.
The main activities at the Pešter temporary training area take place until September 13, when the public will see the demonstration of the resolve and proficiency of the Serbian Armed Forces personnel, the firepower of new and modernised weapons and systems, and a high level of interoperability and collaboration in responding to challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia.
