SAF reconnaissance unit conducts summer training
As part of its regular summer training, a reconnaissance unit of the 4th Army Brigade has conducted a series of training activities aimed at enhancing its operational capabilities.
In accordance with reconnaissance units’ anticipated tasks and defined training objectives, the unit personnel conducted a wide range of activities on land and water, both at training areas within the barracks and in field conditions.The reconnaissance personnel practiced water crossing techniques, solved tactical problems in various environments, honed their combat skills and did survival food skills training. These activities are of vital importance when carrying out tasks deep behind enemy lines.
The personnel also practiced the use of modern equipment including surveillance systems recently fielded to reconnaissance units. Their adoption has significantly enhanced the units’ surveillance, data gathering and processing capabilities.
The successful execution of summer training, which is a segment of the complex training of reconnaissance units, has greatly improved the knowledge and skills of soldiers and officers, as well as the unit’s overall readiness for intelligence missions in Serbian Armed Forces’ operations.
