Reception for SAF officers selected for General Staff Course

The Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, today received officers of the Serbian Armed Forces selected to attend the General Staff Course at the Field Marshal Radomir Putnik National Defence School. The reception was held at the Banjica 2 Barracks in Belgrade.
Congratulating the officers on being selected for this level of professional development, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff stressed that, through their accomplishments and dedicated service, they had earned the privilege of commanding. He expressed his belief that they would make the most of the opportunity given to them and return to their units with new knowledge and skills that would contribute to strengthening the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
Referring to key plans and projects aimed at further strengthening the Serbian Armed Forces in all areas, General Janković noted that future General Staff officers were expected to follow trends in the contemporary security environment and demonstrate full commitment to professional development, in order to adequately prepare themselves for the demanding duties awaiting them upon completion of the General Staff Course.
The General Staff Course is the third level of specialized officer training programmes, designed to prepare them for commanding brigade-level tactical units, performing senior command and staff duties, and carrying out other tasks within operational commands and organisational units of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff and the Ministry of Defence.
