CBRN unit conducts pre-deployment training

A CBRN defence unit of the Army, designated for participation in peacekeeping operations, is currently conducting collective training at the Car Lazar Barracks and at the Ravnjak Training Area in Kruševac.
This is one of SAF units designated for participation in the Operational Capabilities Concept mechanism within the Partnership for Peace Programme, whose implementation helps the Serbian Armed Forces meet the standards and develop the capabilities required for participation in peacekeeping operations.

Members of these units undergo thorough preparations and complex training to reach the required level of readiness to carry out missions within the multi-national framework and are continuously evaluated.
During this training phase, the CBRN unit focuses on tactical practices for executing collective tasks personnel can expect in multinational operations, such as the radiological, chemical and biological decontamination of people, arms and equipment, patrols, setting up checkpoints, protection of personnel and facilities, and the evacuation and treatment of the injured.

Upon completion of this training phase, the declared CBRN unit will conduct a tactical exercise at the Borovac Training Area and the South Base, where its readiness for deployment in multinational operations will be evaluated.
