Field training for soldiers and future NCOs
Direct-entry NCO Course candidates and military service recruits of the June 2026 intake undergoing training for infantry and artillery roles at the Army Training Centre, have completed field training at the Pasuljanske Livade training area.
In line with the requirements of their future roles, the soldiers and NCO candidates conducted training in the combat use of fire-support systems, simultaneously adapting to task execution and living and working in the field. The training focused on combat tactics and procedures, and included firing practices using branch-specific weapons. The trainees practised firing with towed howitzers, mortars and automatic grenade throwers and the very good and excellent scores they achieved demonstrate the quality of their prior training both at the centre and in the field.
As part of their field training, a conditioning march was conducted, with the aim of improving the soldiers’ and NCO candidates’ general and physical endurance, namely their ability to withstand fatigue and carry out tasks under heightened mental and physical strain.Once they return from the field, the future NCOs of the Serbian Armed Forces will resume their NCO training, while the soldiers face skills assessment to confirm their ability to carry out tasks as part of crews or teams, before progressing to collective training with Serbian Armed Forces units for the remainder of their military service.
