Serbian Armed Forces and Ohio National Guard personnel conduct joint engineering training
Joint training for personnel from the engineering units of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard is currently underway at the “Ratko Pavlović Ćićko” barracks in Prokuplje.
The training focuses on operating engineering machinery donated by the U.S. side to the Serbian Armed Forces over the past several years. It involves a wide range of equipment, such as graders, dozers, loaders, dump trucks, and rollers, used by the engineering units of both countries. The five-day training event includes lectures, the exchange of experience, and hands-on activities including the maintenance and operation of these vehicles. The aim is to enhance personnel’s proficiency in carrying out engineering tasks, such as overcoming and clearing terrain obstacles, constructing cover and shelters, and reconstructing and maintaining roads.
For two decades, the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard have maintained successful cooperation within the framework of the Serbia-Ohio State Partnership Program. Joint training is just one of numerous areas of cooperation that enhance the capabilities of the armed forces and contribute to the development of overall relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America.
