High fuel stock levels at Serbian Armed Forces storage facilities
The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, today visited one of the fuel depots at the 608th Logistics Base in southern Serbia.
During the visit, he reviewed current fuel stock levels, the conditions in which Serbian Armed Forces personnel carry out their duties, fuel storage conditions, and the new facilities for the storage of aviation fuel.General Mojsilović was satisfied that all required measures for storing fuel had been taken and that the unit’s personnel were highly motivated and fully capable of performing their tasks.
The Head of the Logistics Department (J-4) of the General Staff, Major General Saša Petrović, briefed General Mojsilović on fuel stock levels at the Base’s depots and across other SAF units’ storage facilities, noting that the overall fuel reserves throughout the Serbian Armed Forces currently stand at more than 100 percent.
At the conclusion of his tour, General Mojsilović expressed his satisfaction with the existing situation, the unit members’ professional attitude towards the duties and property entrusted to them, and particularly with high fuel stock levels across Serbian Armed Forces’ storage facilities. He emphasized that, amidst ongoing disruptions to global supply chains, current stock levels ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the Serbian Armed Forces. He added that, should the need arise, the armed forces would also be able to make part of their reserves available to help maintain the stability of fuel supplies on the market in the Republic of Serbia.
