Intensive training of Serbian Armed Forces tank crews

At the training ground "Rujnik" and military training areas in the wider Niš region, members of the T-72M Tank Battalion are being trained to carry out tasks within the operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The goal is further professional development of experienced tank crewmen and officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, with an emphasis on the training of the youngest members of the unit.

The tank platoon commander, Captain Stefan Pešić, says that the T-72MS tank has undergone a major modernisation through all three key elements that characterise armoured units - firepower, armoured vehicle protection, and mobility.

— I would like to emphasise that the members of the T-72M Tank Battalion themselves, who demonstrate knowledge, ability and skills in action every day and prove those in practice, are our greatest resource. Since there are only three of us in this complex combat system, working in a confined space and noisy conditions, and bearing in mind the fact that we carry out all tasks in complex conditions, tank battalions are characterised by a spirit of unity, a strong team, and a family atmosphere.
Tank driver, Lance Corporal Filip Anđelić, came to the T-72M Tank Battalion two years ago, on the recommendation of his best friend, and upon the completion of voluntary military service.

— Tank is a very powerful and unstoppable machine, so while driving it I feel as if there were no obstacles in front of me. On the other hand, I also have a great responsibility — to take the crew to the task, to complete the task successfully, and return safely — said Lance Corporal Anđelić.

Those interested in serving in this and other tank units of the Serbian Armed Forces can apply for public competitions, for the positions of tank drivers and gunners in tank battalions in Sremska Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Niš and Vranje by 15 July.
