Joint training of members of Serbian Armed Forces, armed forces of Azerbaijan

Members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Special Forces of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are conducting training for independent survival outdoors at a location in the vicinity of Niš.
This is the first joint training of special units from the two countries, and it is being carried out with the aim of exchanging experiences and work practices, improving cooperation and further improving knowledge and skills for the execution of tasks in conditions of irregular or impossible water and food supply.

During the training, skills are developed for staying hidden and moving in nature, making improvised shelters, fire pits and stoves, finding and preparing edible plants and other food sources, collecting and purifying water, as well as providing first aid in the event of food poisoning.
The units undergoing the training were visited today by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović. He talked to soldiers and officers, and expressed satisfaction that the members of elite military units of Serbia and Azerbaijan have an excellent professional understanding and are jointly performing all tasks during the training successfully.

The three-week field activities are going to be completed at the end of this week with a full-day exercise that will simulate the execution of one of the Special Forces designated tasks, applying the knowledge gained during the training.
