Exercise Platinum Wolf 26 commences

The 11th edition of the International Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 26, organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with the support of the United States European Command (U.S. EUCOM), is being held at military training grounds and exercise areas near Bujanovac from June 1-13.
The exercise features more than 550 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and personnel from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States, Montenegro, and the United Kingdom. The goal is to exchange experiences and best practices, as well as to enhance readiness and mutual understanding between the armed forces of partner states in carrying out peace support operations.

Over the next two weeks at Base South, the Borovac training area, and the Vrtogoš firing range, exercise participants will rehearse a series of tactical scenarios, including securing bases, buildings, and convoys, patrolling, conducting cordon and search operations, and urban combat.
Platinum Wolf exercises have been conducted in Serbia since 2014. Their significance is reflected in the enhanced capability of the Serbian Armed Forces to plan, organize, and conduct multinational exercises, as well as in the increased readiness of lower level tactical units for deployment in peacekeeping operations. Participation in multinational exercises helps commands and units enhance their readiness and at the same time provides opportunities for the Serbian Armed Forces to reaffirm Serbia’s commitment to cooperating with all partners and preserving peace and stability.
