Signal Brigade units conduct mobile field training
Units of the Signal Brigade have conducted mobile field training at several locations across Serbia with the aim of further improving collective proficiency in executing assigned tasks during operations of the Serbian Armed Forces.
The training involved professional personnel and military service volunteers of the December 2025 intake, who are being trained within this unit to operate radio stations, radio-relay centres, and mobile switching systems.The training focused on the deployment of mobile telecommunications centres at command posts, as well as the establishment and maintenance of various communications systems and execution of other field activities designed to get the unit out of its comfort zone.
According to Signal Company Commander Major Bojan Popović, the mobile field training also includes tactical exercises.
— The training activities conducted during the exercise include the deployment of telecommunications station components, mobile telecommunications and information centres, and the establishment of telecommunications support for command post users. The objective of the mobile field training is to prepare command personnel for effective planning and command of directly subordinated units, while improving the individual and collective skills of commanders, professional soldiers, and soldiers performing voluntary military service required for the execution of assigned missions and tasks in all weather and terrain conditions, day and night – said Major Popović.
The Signal Brigade is a unit of the Serbian Armed Forces directly subordinated to the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6) of the General Staff. Its mission is to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the telecommunications and information system of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. In recent period, the unit has been equipped with state-of-the-art telecommunications equipment.
