Military police and reconnaissance units’ competition concludes
The annual competition of military police and reconnaissance units of the Serbian Armed Forces was officially concluded today at the Ribnica barracks in Kraljevo, with trophies and medals awarded to the top-preforming teams and competitors.
Competing among 14 teams from the Serbian Armed Forces and two teams each from the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska, the top result was achieved by the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre”. Second place went to the Special Operations Battalion “Sokolovi” of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, while third place was taken by the Gendarmerie team.Through a series of complex and mentally and physically demanding tasks, the competitors demonstrated excellent coordination and team spirit, as well as outstanding preparedness, marksmanship, tactical skills, resourcefulness, and both physical and psychological endurance. In the first two stages, they carried out fire missions individually and as part of patrols on a specially designed firing range. In the third stage, held on a patrol course, they demonstrated their tactical proficiency. The overall ranking was determined by the combined results from all stages of the competition, including the final fourth stage completed today.
The five-day competition was officially closed by the Head of the Military Police Department, Major General Milan Lazić, who stated that the competitors had demonstrated all the qualities that define members of the military and police, such as unwavering strength, the spirit of sportsmanship, and unity.
