Career Guidance Fair held in Smederevo
The Career Guidance Fair, promoting education and employment within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, was held today in Smederevo’s Main Square. The event was organized in cooperation with the National Employment Service.
During the event, members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces informed the public about employment opportunities and career paths within the units and institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and introduced them to all aspects of military education and professional development.The citizens gathered in the square had the opportunity to see a selection of modern assets and weaponry in service in the Serbian Armed Forces – Miloš and Hummer armoured combat vehicles, Military Police vehicle - BearCat, several types of infantry firearms, and modern telecommunications systems.
Members of various organizational units within the Ministry of Defence, the Guard, the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade, the Army Training Centre, and the 5th Military Police Battalion presented themselves to the public, informing them about the benefits of military careers, such as permanent employment and reduced years of service for retirement.The director of the National Employment Service branch in Smederevo, Jasmina Beočanin, said that one of the goals of this service is to connect young people with employers, but also with institutions.
- Our goal is to introduce young people to the military profession, opportunities for education, professional development, training, specialist training, and employment within the defence system – Ms. Beočanin said.
