Balkan Friendship Jump 2026 brings together parachutists from across region
The traditional Balkan Friendship Jump 2026 parachuting event, which once again brought together parachutists from several countries in the region, officially opened today at the Lisičji Jarak sports airfield.
The opening day of the event featured an accuracy landing competition, with participants jumping from an altitude of 1000 metres. Over the next few days, in addition to competition, training, and demo jumps, the event will also feature parachute jumps from the Serbian Armed Forces’ AN-26 aircraft at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović military airfield in Batajnica, with the support of the 204th Air Brigade of the Air Force and Air Defence.Colonel Nenad Kuzmanović (ret.), the founder of the 63rd Parachute Brigade Veterans’ Club “Arhistratig”, said this year’s event brought together active duty members and veterans of the Serbian Armed forces, sport parachutists from Serbia, but also guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Austria, and Germany.
- This year, we have 126 registered participants at the event, including 63rd Parachute Brigade veterans who live for this event and look forward to participating in it. This event is part of our tradition, it is about connecting and cooperating with countries across the region, Europe and around the world. I hope it will continue in the future, thanks above all to the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior, the Aeronautical Union of Serbia, the commands of the Air Force and Air Defence and the 63rd Parachute Brigade, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, and the media – Colonel Kuzmanović stated.
