President’s message of congratulations on Guard Day
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, has sent a message of congratulations on the occasion of Guard Day. The message reads:
“By continuing the rich and illustrious tradition of the Serbian Guard, which spans nearly two centuries, you continue to perform your duties with exceptional dedication and commitment. In carrying out the most responsible tasks, members of the Guard consistently demonstrate a high level of training, discipline, and operational readiness. The results you achieve, often in the most complex circumstances, unequivocally confirm that the Guard rightfully holds a distinguished place within the defence system of the Republic of Serbia. Your achievements have been recognized through numerous awards and decorations, as well as through the trust placed in you. This proves that only the best units of the Serbian Armed Forces are worthy of the highest state honours.
Aware of the Guard’s importance and role, the state continues to strengthen the unit through the continuous provision of modern weapons and equipment, the improvement of working conditions and living standards of its personnel, as well as through intensive training and exercises aimed at further enhancing the unit’s operational capabilities and readiness.
I hope that this special day and your patronal feast will serve as an inspiration for your continued professional development. I am confident that you will continue carrying out your assigned tasks with the same sense of responsibility, further enhancing the operational capabilities of your unit and continuing to contribute to the development of modern and effective armed forces, for a strong Guard safeguards not only the reputation of the Serbian Armed Forces, but of the state as a whole.”
