Sports meet between Serbian, Hungarian senior officers
Generals and other senior officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces played a friendly futsal match today at the Sports Centre of the Football Association of Serbia in Stara Pazova.
This was the 18th edition of a traditional sports meet between Serbian and Hungarian officers, which has been held alternately in Serbia and Hungary since 2015. The Serbian Armed Forces team was led by the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, and the visiting team by the Deputy Chief of the Hungarian Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Ferenc Kajári. The match was marked by good sportsmanship and a friendly atmosphere, with the Serbian team winning 4:2.
Hungarian officers visited Serbia at the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, who during their visit met with General Kajári, with whom he discussed the cooperation so far, as well as the possibilities of its further advancement.
Sports meets like these are just one form of numerous bilateral defence cooperation activities between Serbia and Hungary, aimed at enhancing operational capabilities and interoperability of armed forces, as well as strengthening mutual trust and good neighbourly relations.
