Tour of Serbian Armed Forces units in Valjevo
Today, the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, toured the units stationed at the Valjevo garrison.
During the tour, he was briefed on the status and capabilities of units from the 2nd Army Brigade, the 608th Logistics Base, the Signal Brigade, and the 2nd Training Centre. He spoke with service members and received reports from unit commanders on the execution of key tasks.At the Field Marshal Živojin Mišić Barracks, he was shown, among other things, the M-18 Oganj modular rocket launchers, which were delivered to the Valjevo battalion at the beginning of the year. This modern, domestically produced missile-artillery system has significantly enhanced the armed forces’ capability to provide fire support to troops during operations.
At this location, he was also shown the new training and logistical support facilities, as well as the renovated buildings that will house recruits, once compulsory military service is reintroduced.
