Tactical training in Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion

The Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion of the Army is currently conducting reconnaissance training at military training grounds in the vicinity of Niš.
The purpose of the training is to maintain and further enhance the proficiency of unit members in carrying out assigned tasks, as well as to introduce new unit members to their new duties.

In the field, soldiers are practising observation and intelligence gathering tactics and procedures, conducting patrols, raids, and ambushes, as well as the proper and safe operation of the unit’s essential combat system – the BRDM-2MS armoured reconnaissance vehicle. A significant part of the training is dedicated to countering aerial threats, primarily drones, as well as to reacting to enemy contact.

Training is the battalion’s main task and it is conducted in all tactical and weather conditions to ensure a high level of readiness for the execution of missions in the Serbian Armed Forces’ operations.
The Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion is an independent unit within the Army. It is equipped and trained to collect intelligence necessary for military operations. Continuous training, exercises, and firing practices enhance the professional personnel’s level of proficiency and the unit’s combat readiness.
