Public call for medical graduates
The Defence University of the Ministry of Defence invites all interested candidates holding a Doctor of Medicine degree to apply by April 8, 2026, for entry into the Register of Persons Interested in Employment with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. The call is intended for those seeking fixed-term employment in order to complete their specialist training.
A total of 16 candidates will be hired on fixed-term contracts to undertake specialist training in the following fields: anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care, internal medicine, general surgery, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, ophthalmology, urology, and general practice.In addition to the general requirements, candidates must also meet several specific criteria: they must have passed the professional licensing exam, they must have achieved a minimum GPA of 8.00 during their integrated studies, they must hold a valid medical licence, and have proficiency in a foreign language appropriate to the position.
Interested candidates must complete a questionnaire and submit it either in person to the Personnel Department of the Human Resources Sector, Ministry of Defence, at 15 Nemanjina Street, Belgrade, or by email at kadrovi@mod.gov.rs.
The hiring process is in line with the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces and the Regulation on the Recruitment of Civilian Personnel into the Serbian Armed Forces, without a public competition. Candidates are selected from the Register of Persons Interested in Employment with the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, based on service needs and staffing plans.
