Minister Gašić visits Garrison Infirmary in Leskovac

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited the Garrison Infirmary in Leskovac today, accompanied by the city’s local government representatives.
Today’s visit is part of an ongoing initiative to renovate, equip, and fully prepare the Garrison Infirmary to serve all military healthcare beneficiaries in the region.

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić said that investing in military healthcare and improving the living conditions of service members is a long-term priority, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure projects throughout the country.

— By investing in facilities, by refurbishing and equipping them, we create better working conditions, but we also ensure greater security for members of the defence system and their families. The system must be a reliable support for anyone who has chosen a military career, both in terms of healthcare and overall security. By raising standards, we strengthen people’s motivation and readiness, which is of crucial importance for the stability of our military – the Minister of Defence noted, stressing that investments in military infrastructure can have multiple benefits for both military healthcare beneficiaries and the community as a whole.

The Serbian Armed Forces have given the upper-floor facilities of the Garrison Infirmary to the Leskovac Health Centre, where renovation work is underway on a paediatric dispensary, thereby contributing to the well-being of children and local healthcare services.

Also visiting the Leskovac Garrison Infirmary today were the Head of the Logistics Department (J-4), Major General Saša Petrović, the Commander of the Training Command, Brigadier General Dragiša Zlatković, the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Defence, Colonel Nikola Matović, and the Mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanović.
