President Vučić visits Milan Blagojević-Namenska Company

The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, visited the Milan Blagojević-Namenska company in Lučani today, where he met with the company’s management and later spoke with its employees.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.

President Vučić said that today’s visit provided an opportunity for him to discuss two new investment cycles with the factory’s management and added that the company can count on additional support from the state to help finance what is needed.
- It means financing the acquisition of the most technologically and technically advanced equipment – not to fill gaps or weaknesses from the past, not to make up for anything, but to purchase the best equipment currently available in the world. As a state, we are ready to help you with that. I know you are concerned over a million rumours you have heard; five hundred potential buyers have visited the factory, but you must know that Serbia will never give up its majority stake in this factory. It will always belong to our country and our state – said the President of Serbia.

He said that salaries are quite decent now, noting that 10 to 12 years ago they amounted to around RSD 46,000, while today the average salary is around RSD 142,000. Speaking about the growth in salaries and the increase in the number of employees, the President of Serbia said that new jobs and new technologies will also be needed.
President Vučić also addressed the issue of exports, emphasizing that there would be no problems in that area.

- Our armed forces are placing increasingly large orders, and we will make sure that your warehouses are cleared so that there are no problems, neither security-related nor any other. I also ask you to always observe all security protocols, and if there is anything you would request from the state, please tell us. For us, this factory is the foundation and the pillar – the President of Serbia emphasized and asked employees to design things for the future and to work on technologically improving the company through new projects.
Addressing the employees, President Vučić said that the state wants to ensure a faster and more substantial progress toward the future.

- As far as money is concerned, both within the factory itself and in terms of state support, you needn’t worry. Everything you produce here helps us and contributes to maintaining peace, because if we were not strong enough, no one would respect us. We would be overrun at incredible speed and nobody would care much about us. People often think peace is something given forever – President Vučić said, stressing that Milan Blagojević-Namenska is a key factory, because everything the company does, directly contributes to a better and stronger defence. He also added that by investing more money, an even more modern factory will be created for the future.
