Minister met with the directors of defense industry
Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac met today with the directors of the defense industry f in Serbia.
The main topic of discussion was finding opportunities to expand the existing plant capacity to meet the growing demand in the market for the products of our defense industry.
After the meeting, the Minister said that in the last two years, the Serbian defense industry had achieved record results and had become a very important part of our general industry and exports.
"The theme of today's meeting was how to expand the capacity and capability of our defense industry and how to increase exports and reduce trade deficit. I am very glad that there is a great interest among all the factories on the one hand, and the Government’s interest on the other hand to provide excellent loan conditions for our defense industry to buy equipment and thereby expand its capacities. Let me remind you that Serbia was an important exporter of military equipment across the region in 1980s and 1990s , while today is the largest exporter from Ankara and Vienna, "said Minister of defense minister.
In addition to expanding existing capacity, there was discussion about training personnel by organizing specialist studies.
Furthermore, the minister acquainted the directors that our defense industry has started with the implementation of the NATO codification systems thus enabling our defense industry to emerge on foreign markets.

The meeting was attended by Director Yugoimport - SDPR Stevan Nikcevic, director of Krusik –Valjevo weapons factory, John Davis, director of "Freedom" Cacak Zoran Stefanovic, director of Prvi Partizan in Uzice Dobrosav Andric, director of Zastava Oruzje Rade Gromovi?, director of the factory "Milan-Namenska Lu?ani Rados Milovanovic and director of the Prva Iskra Baric" Stanoje Bio?anin.
