Dog Training Centre achieves outstanding results at national championship

The Serbian Armed Forces Dog Training Centre achieved outstanding results at the National Šarplaninac Dog Championship, held in Niš yesterday.
The event had an international character, bringing together a large number of participants and dog breeders from across the country and the region. The Serbian Armed Forces’ Šarplaninac dogs won a total of six trophies.

In addition to the prettiest female dog at the show – a national champion, the Centre also produced the best dog pairs and breeding groups, which placed first and second in their respective categories. Such results reaffirmed the high quality and strong genetic potential of the Centre - the largest breeding kennel of its kind in the region.
On this occasion, representatives of the Šarplaninac Club Krajina from Banja Luka awarded a gold plaque to the Dog Training Centre in recognition of its contribution to the development of the Šarplaninac breed. The award was accepted on behalf of the Centre by its commander, Colonel Zdenko Cvijetić.

The Dog Training Centre is responsible for the training, veterinary care, breeding, and reproduction of dogs, as well as for the training and professional development of veterinary service personnel. The excellent results and awards the Centre receives at local and international competitions further confirm the high status and reputation that this SAF unit enjoys.
