 In the promotional campaign “Be a professional”, attractive video clips of the Movie Making Center "Zastava film," shot between April and September at various locations in Serbia, our renowned actors Vuk Kostic, Ivan Bosiljcic and Dragan Bjelogrli?, as the main promoters supported the campaign professionalization of the Army of Serbia by starring in the said video clips.

On the occasion of 92nd anniversary Thessalonica Front, the Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac laid wreaths at the Serbian military cemetery in Thessalonica, where the members of the allied armies were laid to rest as well as on the monument in Polikastro.

”I am pleased to point out that the Serbian Army has attracted more young men and women to apply for the military profession. That is why we, and in conditions when professionalization has been almost finalized, are happy to accept all those who want to do national service, said Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic at the ceremony of pledge in Leskovac.

To mark the 200th Anniversary of the Battle in the Varvarin Field, Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Mayor Zoran Milenkovic , Mayor of Varvrain revealed the Monument to Serbian heroes, who together with the Russian allies won a great victory against the Turkish army on 23rd September 1810.

International Scientific Conference "Integration of the Western Balkans into the network of global security" was held from 27 to 29 September at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade.

Sport is a very fruitful field for the promotion of physical education and training - said State Secretary Zoran Jeftic at the opening of the Strategic CISM seminar in Belgrade, adding that the International Military Sports Council (CISM) since the day it was founded has been contributing to the development of understanding and friendship among the members of the armed forces of various countries .

The military archives ranks as one of the most important and best stocked archives in Serbia, which, with documents and testimonies from two Serbian-Turkish wars, the Serbian-Bulgarian and the two Balkan, including two world wars and the short April war, documents from peacetime life of the Serbian and Yugoslav, kings and armies of the socialist, state boards ... makes a valuable national heritage of the Serbian people.

At the recent 37th Symposium on Operational Research 188 papers in 26 standard sections of the symposium were presented, 45 of which were from the defense system. SIMOPIS has 150 participants, mainly researchers in operations and theorists. A dozen experts came from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Republic of Serbia.

International fairs in the field of protection and security were held at the Belgrade Fair. Organizing the 37th 112 EXPO International Fair and the First International Fair iSEC are a step forward in the protection and security, where for the first time the two conferences had been held separately.

In this issue we report on the reconstruction of the memorial sepulcher for Belgrade liberators in 1915. The project of rehabilitation and reconstruction of monuments, ossuary and the plateau was designed by experts from the Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Monuments, Belgrade 2004. The works started, however intermittently, partly due to technical, partly due to financial reasons, and lasted until recently. The largest number of those whose remains were laid to rest in the ossuary died during 1915 during the defense of Belgrade, from 6 to 13 October. The Serbian army lost about 5,000 soldiers, while The Austro-Hungarian and German troops lost twice as many sodleirs.

The Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Bini?ki and Merima Njegomir hosted a concert for the promotion of the common compact disc" Serbian folk songs " marking the 111th anniversary of the ensemble.
