New issue of Odbrana magazine released
The February issue of Odbrana is dedicated to a great jubilee – 150 years since the establishment of the General Staff of the Serbian Army – the highest professional and command body responsible for preparing and employing the military in peacetime, emergency situations, and war. The Standpoint section features an article exploring the General Staff’s continuous development and advancement.
This month’s issue also features articles marking the anniversaries of three institutions – the Defence University, Media Centre “Odbrana”, and the Military Geographical Institute “General Stevan Bošković”. The Culture section contains an article dedicated to Music Service Day.We have also visited the 37th Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Army Brigade and observed their intensive training on modernized M-80 AB1/V2 infantry vehicles, featuring enhanced manoeuvrability, firepower, and armoured protection.
In Odbrana, readers can find a feature on the research project titled the Genesis of Geodetic and Cartographic Activities at the Military Geographical Institute "General Stevan Bošković". A special supplement included with the February issue of our magazine offers a comprehensive overview of the Institute’s 150 years of work.
The System section features an article commemorating the anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, which recognizes and acknowledges the crucial role of women in all peace and security processes.
In an interview with Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Zoran Ivković, Director of the Military Hospital Novi Sad, readers can gain insight into the work of this century-old institution, one of the pillars of military healthcare.
The issue also features an article on the humanitarian activities of the Association of Security Services and Military Police Veterans, highlighting their determined efforts to preserve the memory of fallen service members and support their families.
