Christmas Messages from Minister of Defence
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić has sent Christmas messages to His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, His Grace Dositej, Military Bishop, and the Orthodox members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. The messages read as follows:
Christmas Message to His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch
“Your Holiness,
On behalf of all Orthodox members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, I extend my warmest greetings to you for Christmas, the joyful feast of the Nativity of our Saviour.
Relying on your prayerful intercession for the entire Serbian Armed Forces, I pray to the Christ Child to grant you, as the one who occupies the sacred throne of Saint Sava, spiritual strength and steadfast health, so that you may continue to lead the Serbian Orthodox Church successfully for many blessed years.
I wish you every success in your life and service. May you share the joy of Christmas, in good health and prosperity, with you closest associates. I greet you with the traditional words of enduring joy:

“Your Grace,
On behalf of all Orthodox members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, I extend my warmest greetings to you for Christmas, the joyful feast of the Nativity of Jesus Christ.
I pray to the Christ Child to grant you spiritual strength and steadfast health, so that you may continue to successfully provide spiritual guidance to the military chaplains entrusted to your care, and together with them strengthen the spirit of the Orthodox members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
