Minister Gašić and General Mojsilović visit Defence System Operations Centre
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Defence System Operations Centre on the first day of 2026. They confirmed that members of the Serbian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks entrusted to them professionally and responsibly.
The most senior officers on duty reported on the status of tasks within commands and units, while senior national representatives provided reports via video-link on the activities of SAF contingents deployed in nine multinational operations around the world.
Minister Gašić emphasized that the Operations Centre is one of the key components of the defence system where the situation is continuously monitored and information necessary for making decisions is provided round the clock. 
- This morning we received reports from duty officers and members of the Serbian Armed Forces serving in multinational operations, confirming that they perform their duties in a dedicated and responsible manner. In line with the guidance and orders of the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, we will continue to invest in personnel, equipment, and modern technology, in order to further strengthen our military’s ability to respond effectively to all security challenges. I would like to take this opportunity to commend all members of the Serbian Armed Forces for everything they do to ensure security for our citizens, as well as for their contribution to peace and security worldwide – the Minister of Defence emphasized.
The Minister of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff extended their New Year’s and Christmas greetings to all service members and the citizens of Serbia.Minister Gašić was accompanied on his visit to the Operations Centre by Major General Goran Pavlović, Head of the Operations Department of the General Staff, Brigadier General Slađan Hristov, Head of the Human Resources Department of the General Staff, Colonel Nikola Matović, Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence, Colonel Boris Stojković, Head of the Office of the Chief of the General Staff, and Colonel Mirjana Milenković, Head of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre.
