Training of KUB-M2 (SM) Missile System Combat Crews
Regular training of professional personnel with modernized KUB-M2 (SM) missile system is underway in the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade units.
The focus of the training is on the preparation and execution of air defence operations. The training includes the march, taking up the combat formation, observing airspace, detecting, tracking and firing at targets in airspace, as well as preparing missiles and replenishing the combat set of the self-propelled launchers.In the process of modernization, the tactical and technical characteristics of the missile system were improved in terms of the executive command process, detection and acquisition of targets and anti-electronic protection, while continuous training maintains a high level of the competence of the combat crews to be engaged within the permanent combat-ready forces for control and protection of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia.
The 2K12 KUB-M2 (SM) missile system is intended for the air defence of important facilities, the Serbian Armed Forces units, regions and directions in the territory of reconnaissance and airspace operations. It can destroy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, flying at speeds of up to 600 metres per second, at altitudes of up to 14 and distances of up to 24 kilometres.
