Chief of General Staff meets with unit commanders
Today, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, held a working meeting with the commanders of tactical units responsible for executing tasks as part of the land component of the Serbian Armed Forces.
At the end-of-year meeting, the participants reviewed the accomplishment of principal tasks and discussed the security situation in the country and throughout the region, primarily in the Ground Safety Zone. The discussion also included the units’ missions and tasks, as well as their plans for the next year.The meeting further addressed the continued improvement of the effectiveness of rapid reaction units in the execution of tasks within the first mission of the Serbian Armed Forces, resulting from the introduction of recently acquired modern systems and equipment into service.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković, heads of internal organizational units of the General Staff, staff officers from unit commands, and the Sergeant Major of the Serbian Armed Forces.
In his closing remarks, the Chief of the General Staff allocated specific tasks to the officers and provided them with guidelines, emphasizing that the Serbian Armed Forces must be prepared to respond to important tasks and security challenges lying ahead. With strong support from the state leadership, he further underlined, the Serbian Armed Forces will continue to give priority to strengthening capabilities in the areas critical to success and victory in the conditions existing on the modern battlefield.
