Meeting with teams responsible for country’s energy stability and security
The President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the teams responsible for the country’s energy stability and security.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović. After the meeting, President Vučić said all key issues related to energy stability had been discussed.
- I have received a detailed report on the current state of reserves and we have addressed several different scenarios to protect the interests of the country, its citizens, and the economy. I have reiterated that current challenges call for full attention of all institutions and responsible individuals, from whom I expect maximum efforts in terms of alleviating the consequences of sanctions. I have also underscored the significance of swift and timely interventions by the state and a coordinated response to current challenges.I have particularly emphasized the importance of keeping citizens informed and reassuring them that they have no reason for concern as all the necessary steps have been taken to maintain the operations of the main gas and oil derivative supply systems.
The support of citizens and responsible actions by all of us are crucial for finding a sustainable solution that will guarantee further stability in the field of key energy supplies – said the President of Serbia.
