PRESS RELEASE

The Serbian Ministry of Defence strongly denies the allegations of Boris Aleksic, legal adviser to Vojislav Seselj, that the Chief of the Military Medical Academy Major General Miodrag Jevtic refused to let the cardiologist Dr. Zdravko M. Mijailovic provide medical care to Mr. Seselj.

All requests made by the defendants, those indicted and convicted persons before the ICTY in the Hague, are submitted to the Ministry through the National Council for Cooperation with the ICTY.

According to the records of the Ministry of Defence, the last request Vojislav Seseljto engage MMA doctors to examine him, was sent to July 2009 and the MMA responded to this request promptly and with approval
Since then we have had no record of any such requests made according to the prescribed procedure by Mr. Seselj or his defense pertaining to the involvement of doctors with the MMA.

However, the Ministry of Defence will continue, as before, that in accordance with the regulations and procedures provide the necessary assistance to all our citizens who are in the Hague.
