204th Air Brigade Day

Members of the 204th Air Brigade have marked their Unit Day, commemorating December 2, 1949 – the date of establishment of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment, a unit whose traditions are carried on today by the 204th Air Brigade.
To mark the occasion, a parade of brigade members and a display of aircraft and equipment were held at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Air Base in Batajnica, key achievements in strengthening operational capabilities were highlighted, and awards were presented to outstanding unit members. Certificates were also presented to the brigade’s top pilots and mechanics, a tradition honouring Major Zoran Radosavljević, the pilot who lost his life defending the country during the 1999 NATO aggression.
As part of the 204th Air Brigade Day commemorations, the unit paid tribute to its fallen and departed members by laying wreaths and flowers at the “No One Said 'I Won’t'” memorial.

In reviewing the past year’s accomplishments, it was highlighted that the brigade had successfully fulfilled all assigned tasks, continued to modernize its equipment with the latest military technology, and maintained professionalism, expertise, and high morale among its members. All of this has contributed to further strengthening the capabilities of both the unit and the Air Force and Air Defence as a whole.
Today’s ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Major General Brane Krnjajić, along with the families of the brigade’s fallen members, former unit personnel, and representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the Serbian Armed Forces, the Serbian Orthodox Church, local government officials, and many other guests.
