98th Air Brigade Day
A military ceremony was held today at the Morava air base in Lađevci to mark 98th Air Brigade Day, commemorating November 28, 1949, when the 98th Fighter-Bomber Aviation Regiment was formed.
As part of the ceremony, the brigade’s accomplishments over the past year were presented to brigade members standing in formation, awards were presented to outstanding individuals, and tribute was paid to fallen unit members by laying wreaths at the memorial located within the air base.
The overview of the unit’s accomplishments over the past year highlighted a high level of proficiency, professionalism, and dedication demonstrated by members of the 98th Air Brigade in carrying out all assigned tasks, exercises, and the Power of Unity military parade, as well as their contribution to building the operational capabilities of their unit and the Air Force and Air Defence as a whole.
Today’s ceremony was attended by Air Force and Air Defence Commander Major General Brane Krnjajić, former commanders and members of the unit, representatives of organizational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of religious communities and local government bodies, and numerous other guests.
