Minister Gašić presents decrees promoting and appointing Serbian Armed Forces officers to new positions



Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić presented official decrees issued by the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, promoting and appointing Serbian Armed Forces officers to new positions. The ceremony was attended by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.
Brigadier generals Mile Vitezović and Željko Furundžić have been promoted to major generals, while colonels Aleksandar Stupar, Nebojša Nedeljković, and Grujica Vuković have been promoted to brigadier generals.

By decree of the President of the Republic, Colonel Jovica Kepčija has been appointed as Commander of the 126th ASEWG Brigade.
Minister Gašić congratulated the officers, noting that the decrees serve as a confirmation of their professional qualities and contribution to the defence system. He expressed his belief that the officers of the Serbian Armed Forces would continue to perform their duties professionally, dedicatedly, and responsibly, justifying the trust placed in them, contributing to the further development of the defence system, and setting a good example to their younger colleagues.

Major General Mile Vitezović was born on February 6, 1971, in Užice. His professional military career started in 1994. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1994, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2008, the General Staff Course in 2013, and the Advanced Security and Defence Studies in 2023. He serves as Head of the Telecommunications and IT Department (J-6) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
Major General Željko Furundžić was born on December 16, 1974, in Bijelo Polje. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2010, and the General Staff Course in 2019. He serves as Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard.

Brigadier General Aleksandar Stupar was born on November 18, 1980, in Ruma. His professional military career started in 2004. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2004, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2021, and the General Staff Course in 2023. He serves as Commander of the 63rd Parachute Brigade.

Brigadier General Nebojša Nedeljković was born on April 11, 1977, in Vranje. His professional military career started in 2000. He graduated from the Military Academy in 2000, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2012, and the General Staff Course in 2022. He serves as Commander of the Second Army Brigade.
Brigadier General Grujica Vuković was born on January 2, 1975, in Leskovac. His professional military career started in 1997. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1997, completed the Command and Staff Course in 2014, and the General Staff Course in 2020. He serves as Commander of the Fourth Army Brigade.

Colonel Jovica Kepčija was born on October 30, 1975, in Sisak. His professional military career started in 1998. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1998 and completed the General Staff Course in 2009. He serves as Commander of the 126th ASEWG Brigade.
