Two titles for Sports Unit members
Elzan Bibić, a member of the Sports Unit, secured a convincing victory today, breaking the national record in the half-marathon at the 6th Belgrade Autumn Half-Marathon. As part of the event, the Serbian Senior Championship was held, where Sergeant First Class Đuro Bobelj claimed the championship title.
Civilian employee Bibić achieved an impressive result in the half-marathon, finishing in 1 hour, 1 minute, and 47 seconds, breaking the 27-year-old national record.
As part of the event, the Serbian Senior Half-Marathon Championship was also held, where Sergeant First Class Đuro Borbelj claimed the title with a time of 1 hour, 7 minutes, and 49 seconds, successfully defending the championship he won last year.
A total of 113 competitors from the Defence University and the Military Academy, including professional military personnel, cadets, and students, took part in the event, delivering outstanding performances in both the half-marathon and the 10-kilometre race.Sixty cadets from the Military Academy, 20 students from the Military Grammar School, and 50 students from the 1300 Corporals Secondary Vocational Military School took part in the organization, helping the event run smoothly and presenting the Military Academy and the Defence University in the best possible light.
