General Mojsilović at Change of Command Ceremony at JFC Naples
The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, attended today the ceremonial handover of duty of the Commander of Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, concurrently serving as the Commander of the US Naval Forces in Europe and Africa. The new Commander is Admiral George Wyckoff, who took over the duty from Admiral Stuart B. Munsch.

General Mojsilović thanked Admiral Munsch for the professional cooperation and personal contribution to the execution of joint activities, and wished Admiral Wyckoff success in his new position, expressing his belief that the collaboration of the Serbian Armed Forces with JFC Naples will continue to be constructive and correct in the following period. Considering that the International Security Forces in Kosovo and Metohija are within the responsibility of this Command, the security situation in our southern Province was also discussed.
During his stay in Naples, General Mojsilović also talked with the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, concurrently serving as the Commander of the US military forces on our continent, General Alexus G. Grynkewich, the Chief of the Defence Staff of the Italian Armed Forces, General Luciano Portolano, as well as regional CHODs and other high-ranking officials in the field of defence and security.

During his first meeting with General Grynkewich, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the Serbian Armed Forces are open to continued cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, with full respect for the military neutrality of the Republic of Serbia. The importance of Serbia’s military cooperation with the United States and NATO for preserving peace and stability and progress in the region was highlighted.
In a talk with General Portolano, the satisfaction was expressed with the achievements of bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Italy and it was assessed that joint activities were in the function of enhancing interoperability and capabilities of the armed forces and strengthening mutual trust and overall relations, and that they should continue in the same spirit.
