International UN Staff Officers Course
The Serbian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Operations Centre is conducting an international course for United Nations staff officers at the “Jug” Base near Bujanovac. The course is attended by officers from 11 countries across three continents.

Alongside personnel from the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, participating nations include Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, India, Italy, Libya, Morocco, Turkey, and France.
During the three-week training program, participants will be prepared to perform staff duties in United Nations peacekeeping operations in accordance with established standards and procedures.
The program covers key areas such as the operation of integrated UN missions, military planning processes, and staff functions and procedures. Participants will also gain insights from experienced staff officers currently serving in ongoing peacekeeping missions.

Training is delivered by instructors from the Ministry of Defence, Serbian Armed Forces, Ministry of the Interior, the Peacekeeping Operations Centre of Kazakhstan, the Serbian Red Cross, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and UNICEF Serbia.
Since 2015, the Peacekeeping Operations Centre has been certified to conduct this course in line with UN standards and procedures. High interest in course participation highlights the centre’s international reputation and the quality of training provided by the Serbian Armed Forces for engagement in peacekeeping operations.
