Extraordinary Session of the Government of Serbia Held

President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, attended a government session today at the Palace of Serbia, at the invitation of Prime Minister Đuro Macut.

The session, convened to address the current situation at NIS, was also attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović.

In his address, President Vučić highlighted the measures taken in the past period to ensure the security of supplies for citizens.

“In some areas we are well-prepared; we prepared properly both in mandatory and commodity reserves. We are well-prepared within the Armed Forces as well. Everything we requested – food is fully secured, fuel is in better supply than ever before. At this moment, we have 25,000 tons of diesel in military reserves.” The President emphasised that, as Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, he oversaw these preparations together with the military leadership and the Ministry of Defence, and stated that the Armed Forces would assist the population if necessary, while part of the diesel would be redirected to support the healthcare sector.
