Congratulatory Message by President of Republic on Occasion of Army Day
President of Republic Aleksandar Vučić has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of 16 November – Army Day, which reads as follows:
I would like to congratulate all members of the Army on 16 November – the Day of the service.
Having continued the glorious tradition of Kolubara heroes for more than a century, as the most numerous service of the Serbian Armed Forces, you worthily confirm the timeless values of our national history. With your dedicated work and sacrifice, you confirm the mission deeply cherished in the historical being of the Serbian people, the mission of preserving their freedom, honour and dignity.
By participating in the Power of Unity Military Parade, where you proudly presented the strength, competence and discipline of the Army, as well as by participating in national and multinational exercises, through the development of international cooperation, you have once again confirmed that the true power of our Armed Forces is in their unity, togetherness, trust and awareness of the common goal, which is to preserve the peace and stability of Serbia.
With full respect to all your efforts, we stay firmly committed to strengthening and improving the Army by investing in cutting-edge weapons, modern equipment and better working and living conditions of its members. I am positive that you will continue to perform assigned tasks in a professional and responsible manner in the forthcoming period, enhancing the level of combat readiness and operational capabilities to a greater extent.
Being proud of all you do for our country, I congratulate the Army Day, wishing you to continue to respond to future challenges equally successfully, being worthy of the fame of your glorious forefathers, as well as staying reliable guardians of the future of Serbia.
