Message of congratulations from the Minister of Defence on the occasion of Military Security Agency Day
On the occasion of 12th November – Military Security Agency Day, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić sent a congratulatory message stating:
“I extend my congratulations to all members of the Military Security Agency on 12th November – the Agency’s Day.
You uphold a tradition spanning 186 years, since the adoption of the first legal act - the Military Law, which comprehensively regulated military security matters, stipulated sanctions for treason, desertion, rebellion, and other forms of individual or collective misconduct, and defined issues of security and counterintelligence protection for the Armed Forces of the Principality of Serbia.
During the past period, you have successfully and professionally responded to numerous challenges in the contemporary security environment. You have achieved notable results in combating organised crime, terrorism, and other security threats, demonstrating that knowledge, experience, and responsibility form an essential foundation of your work. Your contribution to the functioning of the security-intelligence system of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces is of invaluable importance for the stability and security of the Republic of Serbia.
A high level of professional competence, achieved through continuous training and the application of modern working methods, has enabled the Military Security Agency to maintain its reputation as one of the most reliable institutions within the security system of the Republic of Serbia. Your dedication and commitment serve to demonstrate that members of the Agency are rightly recognised as professionals of the highest calibre.
I extend my best wishes on Agency Day and trust that in the period ahead you will continue to diligently protect the interests of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence, and the Serbian Armed Forces, while contributing through your efforts to the further development of the security system and the affirmation of your Agency.”
