Ceremony marking 1st Army Brigade Day held



A military ceremony was held today at the Jugovićevo Barracks in Novi Sad to mark 1st Army Brigade Day, which commemorates November 9, 1918, the date when the Serbian army liberated Novi Sad.
   As part of the celebration, key achievements in building operational capabilities were reviewed before brigade members standing in formation and awards were presented to the most outstanding individuals and units.
 
It was highlighted that over the past year, the unit accomplished all assigned tasks and achieved notable progress in the acquisition of modern and advanced combat systems. The brigade’s personnel was also praised for their professionalism, capability, and high morale.
   Among those in attendance at the ceremony were Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, the Serbian Orthodox Church, local government bodies, partner institutions, and numerous guests.
 
The 1st Army Brigade consists of a command and 11 battalion-sized units. The command is located in Novi Sad, and the units are stationed in Bačka Topola, Zrenjanin, Loznica, Novi Sad, Pančevo and Sremska Mitrovica.
